David Arden, legendary Australian Indigenous song writer, guitarist and singer.Performing with the likes of Dan Sultan, Shane Howard, Archie Roach & Kutcha Edwards, over the past 25 years David has toured extensively both nationally & internationally having spent five years as lead guitarist with Archie Roach, and has worked/performed with the late Ruby Hunter, Tiddas, Coloured Stone, Paul Kelly, Bart Willoughby, Mixed Relations, Goanna, Crowded House, Not Drowning Waving, Hunters & Collectors & Weddings Parties Anything to name a few. 2008 to current has seen David renew his passion for his own style and song writing of over 130 new songs, luring Paul Kelly to seek collaboration with David on the album song “Freedom Called”. As one of the songs on the currently being recorded "I Remember" album, David & Paul combine musical and artistic experience to create a spine tingling sound. Recently Won The National Indigenous Arts Award & The VIPA Song Of The Year Award For The Song "Freedom Called" Dave Arden has a proud history of touring extensively Internationally & Nationally with noted First Nation Artists and Band’s such as a former front man for Koori Youth Band, and with Bart Willoughby and Mixed Relations in the 80’s. And with Archie Roach and the late Ruby Hunter in the 90’s and again in 2007 to 2010. And also as a Co-Music Director & performer for the Black Arm Band in 2006 to 2010. Dave Arden is a Kokatha/Gunditjmara Storyteller & Songman. Dave comes from the Kokatha peoples of the West Coast, South Australia. & The Gunditjmara peoples in South Western, Victoria. He’s poetic songs are inspired by a deep passion of love for country, Dave’s upbringing and his family with whom he shares a special, spiritual & cultural connection.
