Born in America, I came to Australia in joining the ADF from an offer that was provided to me by Australia. I wanted to extend my aviation career from the United States military to Australia’s military and I did just that. Unfortunately, I struggled to find acceptance in this transition and music has been my way of coping with life after my military career. It has literally kept me from ending it all when I felt there was no way forward for me. Music has been my muse and has saved my life in my darkest hours. I am very thankful for the opportunities to bask in various Queensland markets when I had no money, no friends, no job, no family, and nowhere to live. Music has been my unconditional friend and has helped me live through each day no matter how hopeless my life has become. And through the years I have shared my love for music with my 12-year-old Aussie autistic daughter and it has helped give music more purpose for me. All the while music has helped my beautiful autistic daughter.
