Byron Bay singer songwriter Dave Scott has released a new blues and roots album. Cruisy and bluesy, original and catchy – the songs are stories about living and loving in a small country town by the beach. Dave has a unique voice and spins a great yarn. He also plays some great guitar. Dave Scott is well known around Byron Bay as a sax player but this album marks a return to his first love – guitar and the blues. Dave draws on the blues and life in Byron Bay to create his own original and contemporary style. Sometimes swampy, sometimes a bit country, the songs are all strong and different - it is impossible to choose a favorite. They are all great. Dave Scott doesn’t sound like anyone else but at times one can hear influences such as JJ Cale, Tony Joe White, and maybe even Bob Dylan.
