Dave Simpfendorfer is a veteran Australian Christian musician whose fingerprints can be found across four decades of worship, artistry, and creative community. A multi instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, engineer, and producer, Dave has long been one of those rare creatives who can move effortlessly between stage, studio, and mixing desk — and make each space feel like home. As a founding director of Windwood Studios in the late 1980s, Dave helped build a creative hub that became a launchpad for emerging Christian artists across Sydney and beyond. His production and engineering credits span an eclectic mix of voices and styles, including Hugh Wilson, Phil Davidson, Surprise, Guns of Fire, Bexmith, Jazz from Above, and recordings from Narrabeen Baptist Church. A long time worship leader at Narrabeen Baptist, Dave also served as the church’s Creative Ministries Director for 12 years, shaping teams, mentoring musicians, and cultivating a culture where creativity and discipleship thrive side by side. As a songwriter, Dave is happily unboxed — weaving through rock, blues, worship, and whatever musical meanderings the moment invites. His songs carry the signature of a life lived in music: honest, textured, and grounded in faith. The hair may be shorter, greyer and thinner but the fires burn. Whether behind a microphone, a guitar, a keyboard, or a console, Dave continues to champion creativity that serves his Lord, lifts the spirit, tells the truth.
