I began my musical education singing in choirs as a boy. I started playing in bands at 14. Playing in cover bands through my teen years singing and playing harmonica. Thanks to Joey Burns, I guitar teched an east coast tour with Giant Sand&Vic Chesnutt ending in a singalong in Philly. I remained friends with Vic until his death. I played guitar and co-wrote 3 songs on Calexico's first LP 'Spoke.'
