The members of Daylight Savings have been playing in the Sydney music scene for the last 15 years. Originally playing in punk and hardcore bands from Western Sydney throughout High School, Tom and Sean reconnected through singing along during carpool trips to their warehouse jobs. In the last decade, Sean Alves and Tom Masters played in what was Sydney’s inner west music scene before regulation and real estate speculation put an end to many beloved venues. During the 2021 Sydney Covid lockdown they recorded some of the songs that they had been playing during this time with an emphasis on layering, melody and catchiness. Daylight Savings is the result of these sessions, recorded in the back seat of a car out the front of Tom Masters house. They hope that they can play them to people live soon.
