Armed with a unified rock outlook, the band aims to make an impact on fresh local audiences in 2013, injecting the scene with their own unique brand of Art-Rock. Dead Reckoner has a distinctive, evolving sound that fills space with offerings of rich harmony and melody, whilst being careful not to stray too far from the punchy bottom end associated with riff-based classic rock.  Guitarists Jonathan Brain and Justin Campbell (both singer songwriters in their own right) create a cohesive harmonic unit, gelling heavy riffs with atmospheric melodic lines. They also provide backing support for Matt Sharp’s (lead vocals) distinctive vocal approach that aptly strikes a balance between power and fragility, emphasizing the content of his reflective lyrics. All these elements are grounded by the driving rhythms that Jordan Sharp (drums) and Gary Benness (bass) provide as they make the most of each songs temperament and natural contour.
