Dead Roo are a four-piece band from suburban Adelaide. From the outset, the unique and honest songwriting of vocalists Jess Johns and Jason Katsaras as well as the bands bright enthusiastic energy, gained a buzz of attention. They have supported local giants Bad//Dreems and West Thebarton as well as earning a spot on the Superloop 500 main stage in 2020, supporting Pete Murray. In 2019, the rag-tag group were honoured to be presented with the APRA AMCOS Emily Burrows Award at the South Australian Music Awards. Their initial releases gained national radio airplay and Nick of Time sits comfortably in the realm of those songs as one of the bands early creations. With an oncoming EP in tow 2020 promised to be a break out year for the band, while touring in the immediate future is no longer possible, Dead Roo are determined to keep releasing music and look forward to getting back on the horse.
