Deadweight Beauty started in a town called Byron Bay in 1996. It started as a 3 piece. Timothy Lee On guitar We also had Michael Gaygon on bass. We had a few songs out and played at a few parties. Michael left the band for a girl then we got a bass player named Travis Vella, after one gig we notice that we had to stamp our foot for Travis to keep time, so Travis left the band. Some notable reviews of DWB “Can’t you play happy songs” Timothy’s Mum. “Why have you got no chorus” My Dad “You would sound good if you had a girl singing”jjj “You are too loud; we had a complaint from the neighbors” Police (not the band) Then I moved to Sydney to play rock drums with a few bands while Timothy moved to Noosa to run a music shop. Timothy started up his own band “Hope springs”. Then I moved back up north I have always wanted to restart the band but have a lack of talent. I have recorded a few songs of late and DWB is back baby Enjoy Cheers Yogestion
