Creating music that explores the themes of identity and sexuality, Declan Florez embodies the resilience in the quest for self discovery. With a vast background in performance and a Double Major in Contemporary Performance, Florez knew from a young age that being an artist would be his vocation. By the age of 14, he had begun developing melodies and lyrics in his notepad and inevitably constructing them into songs. Being heavily influenced by the lyrical and artistic content of Janet Jackson, Florez began to craft his genre bending sound and evolve into his own artistry. With the release of his inaugural EP Trips & Visitations and 2018's Deeper (Personal), Florez is eagerly gearing up with the release of his next project Thick Skin. Heavily influenced by Hip/Hop beats and R&B melodies, Thick Skin delves into the psyche and explores the inner resilience of ones self.
