Deejai is a 21 year old Indigenous Rapper from Melbourne’s northern suburbs. Having performed at notable festivals such as Yirramboi and BlakHEART, Deejai has ambition to create change in his community and help impact the Indigenous youth, aiding them to find strength and pride through his music. He aims to one day become a spokesperson and a leader for his people, dreaming of influencing his culture for the better through song. Taking inspiration from people such as J. Cole, Drake and Ryan Trey, Deejai uses a mixture of metaphors, wordplay and emotional language to portray his thoughts through his very concious music. With the goal of become one of the more prominent artists in the Australian rap scene, Deejai has taken his craft to a professional level recently, doubling down on his work ethic and putting in more time in continuing to better his sound.
