The Deni Mob is a group of incredible, young First Nations artists from the Barapa Barapa and Wemba Wemba communities in Deniliquin NSW. The group has evolved from a Desert Pea Media storytelling project which created a conversation about culture, country and sustainability. The project was part of an ongoing partnership between the EPA and Desert Pea Media (DPM) and runs alongside community-focused waste management projects in Original Nations communities all over NSW. Desert Pea Media projects involve a dialogue-based storytelling process that encourages participants to analyse 'the real', 'the ideal' and 'the bridge'. In simple terms this means critically thinking about how to create positive change for yourself, for each other and for communities.
