Desert Monsoon is a Brisbane based project constructed by multi-instmentalists, Juliano Cerasani and Morgan Campbell. Sonically inspired by the elements of nature, both harsh and nurturing, the music blends various genres and sounds. The duo use music as an avenue to express their frustration with the modern world, hoping to give new insights to their listeners. Background: Prior to moving into boarding school in Grade 11, Juliano Cerasani had no interest in creating music. He found a deep love of the music and message of the 1960s and retreated to that sanctuary in his mind with music, literature and art. He learnt how to sing, play guitar, bass, didgeridoo and drums as a result of feeling alienated during the later years of boarding school. Contrastingly, Morgan Campbell began writing songs from an early age, experimented in various instruments, and picked up production from 12 years old.
