One day back in early 2009, 2 guys decided to stop talking about jamming and actually got down to business. After a few non-inspiring covers were played, these fellows decided to have a crack at writing some originals. These 2 men were Lynchy and Blake, at those originals became the basis for Desolate. After roughly 6 months of jamming and writing, the lads felt it was time to make it official! Searching for members under the name "The Fourth Wall", soon enough the man-mountain Goyder walked onto the scene, and brought his drum-playing next door neighbour Shane to the party. The crappy name was ditched in favour of "Desolate", and the rest, as they say, is history
