High school mates, Kane and Freddy, started producing dance music and DJ-ing at the age of 15. But when the shine of the rave scene wore off, and after being introduced heavier forms of music, Kane picked up a guitar and began lessons, while Freddy began writing lyrics and discovered screaming. Still keeping contact out of high school, and sharing a vision of a new direction, they began jamming together. With previous production experience, they were able to start recording songs in a home-based studio. Thus, Despite It All was born
