The band started in high school, back in 2001. At the time we were a four piece jamming to old-school rock and funk tunes and playing at school music nights, but we later moved on to do private parties, and soon after, the local pub scene. It wasn't long before we'd developed our own distinct sound. Each player, coming from completely different musical backgrounds, had a hand in creating a truly unique blend of hard and soft funk/rock that was undeniably Destonian. With some outside help and the money we had raised winning band comps and hosting local gigs, the Destonia boys cut their first album titled Going Places November 2001. This album was a huge success drawing the attention of local radio stations and venues and creating an ever-increasing number of loyal fans and followers. Rehearsing 2-3 times a week Destonia spent the following year perfecting and cultivating a large amount of new material and pleasing fans everywhere they played. Winning more comps, selling CDs and
