Tense, guitar-driven, and wired with the kind of anxious energy that never fully releases, Melbourne four-piece, Destrends, make rock music that sits at the fault line between Australian pub rock and post-punk precision. Named by The Underground Sound as one of Australia’s bands to watch in 2026, Destrends have gone on to sell out headline tours nationally and earn support slots with King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, building a fanbase that arrived largely on its own terms. Flanked by his bandmates, frontman Matt Savage creates an immersive world from a menacing baritone that makes restraint feel dangerous and release feel earned. The band lean fully into the performance, with shows that feel expansive, physical, and shared between band and audience. Destrends’ debut album OFF WITH THE FAIRIES arrives on 13 March 2026.
