Dethcraäb formed in early 2012 under their original moniker 'Fuck Lobsters'. Band frontman Jërgen Clawhammer met guitarist Dorf Chitinström, bassist Krippler and drummer Lërbergër Hërbergër whilst studying maritime law at the University of Crustacean, PO. After an accidental jam session in the library, the dynamic foursome decided to pioneer a new genre, riding on the relentlessly emerging wave of 'core' suffixed metal. They formed the band 'Fuck Lobsters' and began covering songs by bands such as Amon Amarth and Kalmah. Soon they unanimously decided to begin writing original material, and that's when rhythm guitarist Bunt Whitemeat stepped onto the scene. Bunt had been touring the Pacific with a smooth jazz outfit and had decided to broaden his horizons. Bunt hit it off immediately with the band, and they hired him instantly. Near the end of completing their EP 'Dethcraäb', the then Fuck Lobsters decided to rename their band after the EP title and release it as a self titled work.
