Edit history

Devoid was formed in late 2008, in Rockhampton Queensland. Emerging from what would be described as an ‘unforgiving’ scene, Devoid made their break with their first self titled EP. The bands four members (Brenton Kneen, Tristan Donaldson, Riley Doherty and Tas Bainbridge), branching from a diverse range of influences, each bring their own element to the original music. Influenced by the likes of bands such as Metallica, Pantera, Pink Floyd and Silverchair, their music has achieved a wide range of diversity. By combining heavy, hard-hitting guitar riffs, with raw melodic vocals, a strong reputation has been gained for the upcoming artists. Devoid has created a sound to harness the musical attraction from all types of audiences. The Transitions from clean delays and soft vocals, to a hard-packing monumental chorus, sets their music aside from the rest.
