Edit history

Diplomat formed in Adelaide in 1994, initially playing as three-piece 'Rash' for several years and releasing a bunch of EPs, before acquiring a second guitarist and renaming as Diplomat around 2000. The band's debut album 'Welcome Departure' opened Diplomat to a wider audience, playing gigs with bands such as Swervedriver and McLusky. Diplomat released an EP "The Divine and the Impure" in 2003, but drummer Ben's interstate relocation that year resulted in only sporadic gigs for the following thirteen (!) years. However, with a new recording under the belt Diplomat have returned to the live stage. This four track digital offering is the first in a series of similar releases scheduled for the next couple of years.
