Dirty Strangers have been around for a while... since 1998. Since their inception, they have played regular gigs in Adelaide, taken breaks, gone through line-up changes (mainly bass players) and recorded somewhere in the area of 80 tracks. We are proud of the original songwriting we bring to our audience and are pleased that we can offer something other than sampled riffs and shouted lyrics. That being said... don't think we're a bunch of Manilow wannabes... with drums, three guitars, bass and keys we pack a punch. Come to our gigs ready for a full-bodied wall of rock and you won't be disappointed. Our sound is pretty retro at times - think Rod Stewart back in the Faces - well before he started shouting ballads; or the Rolling Stones in tough and uncompromising form a la 1968 and you get a rough idea. Some of our stuff wouldn't be out of place on a Vietnam war movie sound-track, but we also have some light and shade to balance this - ranging from country to funk to soul and back
