DISCOJESUS was originally founded by Atienne Bakker and Cameron Sexton after playing a spontaneous set of live electronic music together at a ‘Disco Jesus’ themed house party. The pair spent six months developing their musical concept before releasing their debut single and video ‘It’s not what you say’ at the start of 2018. The pair were shortly joined by vocalist and style-guru Harriet Allcroft for live performances at venues such as the Gasometer, The Toff in Town, Boney, and Bar Oussou throughout the year. In March 2019 the debut album, “SWIM”, was finally launched. It features musicians such as Harriet Allcroft, Joel Trigg, Mike Rivett, James McLean, Cameron Sexton, One-Z, and Loz Irwin-Ray. The album showcases a diverse blend of synth-pop, jazz, and future bass. It sounds super badass.
