Edit history

Encompassing the instrumentation of alternative rock, the lyrical expertise of folk, and a spoken-word-influenced delivery, Discovery of a Fox, like worn-out antique furniture, reeks of character. Encapsulating the heartfelt sentiments of Alexander Biggs, Discovery of a Fox builds a melancholic character, unique through its shaky, emotive vocals, relatable lyrics and unique melodies, balancing between story-telling prowess and intimate, sometimes depressive, confessions and revelations. Discovery of a Fox found its beginnings as a means of expression through the particularly bitter Melbourne winter of 2013. Growing through life experiences, Discovery has matured from his original bedroom angst to an insightful melancholy. Playing notable Melbourne venues such as Ding Dong Lounge and The Toff in Town, Discovery of a Fox is currently moving from strength to strength with a variety of solo and accompanied shows in anticipation of his debut EP.
