Divan are a three-piece Alternative Indie Rock band from Secret Harbour WA, made up of two brothers Tom and Scott and their long-time mate Caitlin. Mixing fuzzy guitar sounds with catchy and relatable lyrics, they write songs from their garage that explore the everyday moments and emotions of growing up whilst nodding proudly towards ‘90s alternative and Australian indie-rock influences like Fool Nelson and Hockey Dad. Their first single “Leo Barry” is an ode to taking the leap when it counts, inspired by Leo Barry’s iconic AFL grand final mark in 2005. With distorted guitars and punchy drums, the track turns a legendary sporting moment into a shout-along song that feels equal parts nostalgic and high energy. Building momentum in the Perth music scene for the past year, Divan deliver a sound that’s fun, earnest, and unmistakably their own.
