DIZZYGOTHECA's bittersweet avante pop folktronica combines beautiful vocals and insightful, hopeful lyrics, drawing comparison with Portishead, Goldfrapp and The Paradise Motel. Their songs explore shimmery visions of the world’s dark and light shades, ranging from cinematic soundscapes to pop tinged, glitchy dance beats. They sing of love, truth, madness, hope, nature and machinery, in our complex world. They use hardware not laptops. DIZZYGOTHECA have released two EPs. With their second EP, A Little Closer to the Truth (2009) they collaborated with some of Brisbane's best producers including Lawrence English, Joe Panetta and Wernher Pramschufer, to create a soft, tender and yet powerful EP that connects with listeners in a deep and yet whimsical way and contains the innovative ideas and atmosphere they are known for. 2009 saw them reach local community radio 4ZzZ's Hot 100 Top 20 for the second time with their track 'Sky Over Israel'. In 2008 DIZZYGOTHECA received local acclaim
