Dj's Aren't Rockstars was born out of the gradual decline of 'real' instruments and the shift towards the increasing popularity of electronic music. With the digital world making it easier than ever to create complete sounds that were engaging and marketable, the artist made the somewhat artificial transition from 'real' instruments to digital. The result is a fusion of largely unfinished, experimental electronic sounds with a sometimes melancholy flavour that stems from reluctance to move at the same pace as technology.
