Dogwater is the pet project of guitarist/songwriter Nick Webb and have been hanging around the local scene for the past year and a half perfecting their songs and playing some well-received shows in their free time. Dogwater, named after a song written as a tribute to Quentin Tarantino movies, have always put the emphasis on having quality material before anything else and consequently, have just finished recording a home-made demo CD of eight of their best songs to be unleashed on the general public. The band does not want to conform to any one particular style, and Nick does this through his songwriting, where songs range from de-tuned metal experiments, to upbeat country/folk, to almost funk/rap. And they’re not afraid to mix it up live with a free-form jam section during the middle-8.
