Edit history

Based in Meanjin/Brisbane, DOLLY ZOOM are the amalgamation of the three members’ musical passions. Leaning into their synthwave, 70s rock, and orchestral influences, they create something that is most comfortable nestled between the hemispheres and coursing through your limbs. Off the back of the success their debut EP ‘Homeworld’ received, DOLLY ZOOM recently released their sophomore EP, ‘Sonderless’ – a personal and passion project 2 years in the making. Sonder, is the realisation that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own. This project focuses on some of the band’s own personal stories, but also explores how we often forget that we’re each our own protagonist in this world. Overcoming obstacles during the conception of this EP including COVID-19 lockdowns, flooding (and destruction) of their recording studio, and geographical relocations – DOLLY ZOOM is proud to be able to share the music and stories that influenced this time in their lives.
