Australian songwriter Domini Forster leads you through the dusk-lit corridors of her intricate song-stories, each scene intimate and lovelorn as tea-stained lace. Her distinctive voice shifts effortlessly from commanding call to whisper-close falsetto, earning her comparisons to the likes of Laura Marling and Joni Mitchell. Forster began her career as a finalist in Triple J Unearthed High and went on to make a strong impression on the Melbourne music scene in 2013 with her EP Little Dreamer. Her debut album Raven (2017) earned her a 9/10 from Beat Magazine, features in the PBS Top 10 and RRR Soundscape, and the coveted Darebin Songwriter’s Award. In late 2021, Forster collaborated with ARIA-Award winning artist Lior to release their duo EP Animal in Hiding, receiving 4.5 star reviews in The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald. The 60-show launch tour included appearances at MONA, Port Fairy Folk Festival and Woodford Folk Festival. Forster’s second album ‘The Lonely’ is out in 2025.
