This latest body of work by Dominic Kavanagh culminates four years of development and experimentation. The Melbourne based musician covers a broad range of musical genres ranging from noise, soundscape and film music, through to pop derived and industrial inspired compositions. His sound revolves around a collection of hand made instruments created with found, discarded materials and amplified with transducer microphones. His performances incorporate these instruments with synthesiser, vocals, effects pedals and looping pedals. The end product is often a complex and dramatic layering of textures, beats and harmonies.
