Don Stewart was born in the Red River Valley of Texas, but grew up in southeast Texas. He started playing the guitar when he was eight years old and ended up forming a blues band in Austin, Texas when he was nineteen. Don writes about grief and loss, but also about hope and finding new love. "I try to write what's in my heart. That’s all I know how to write.”
