Donni Heat is an Adelaide artist making modern alternative music where punk, nu-metal and hyper-pop collide. Combining heavy guitars, electronic textures and honest songwriting, Donni's music explores the highs and lows of life through a sound that continues to evolve with every release. Launching in 2022, Donni introduced himself with debut single Stay, an alt-rock track inspired by the sounds of the 2000s, before making his live debut supporting Melbourne rock outfit Vermantics in 2023. In 2024, he expanded his sonic palette with Choker, featuring vocalist Kelsey Gale, attracting a wider audience and establishing Donni as an artist willing to push beyond genre boundaries. His debut EP, Echoes From The Fallout, arrived in 2025 and marked a significant turning point. Co-produced alongside Alex Copp, the five-track release follows the five stages of grief through some of Donni's most personal songwriting to date. Featuring singles Lies, Maybe and Cruel, the EP received commercial radio support from Mix 102.3, led to Donni's first Adelaide headline show, and earned him a finalist nomination in the South Australian Music Awards' People's Choice Punk category. The release also caught the attention of Subculture Entertainment, resulting in Donni's first feature interview. 2026 saw Donni take the next step forward. Selected as one of seven artists for NEXUS Arts' Interplay mentoring program, he connected with industry professionals while expanding his understanding of the wider music landscape. He then opened for U.S. pop-rock act Hot Chelle Rae, made his WOMADelaide debut closing the NSS Academy Stage, and supported Canberra rock outfit Hands Like Houses at Adelaide UniBar. Continuing his independent approach, Donni created, booked and promoted his first interstate headline run across Geelong and Melbourne, introducing new audiences to his music and performing unreleased material. Built on persistence, community and a genuine connection with listeners, Donni Heat continues to carve out his place in Australia's alternative music scene.
