Just like our parents and our parent's parents, their musical tastes found a sweet spot. Their favourite bands, favourite albums and favourite songs were locked in. They believed that music hit a pinnacle at this singular moment and that was that. Down & Out agree with this concept, the best pop/punk in this country was early 2000's; those bands One Dollar Short, For Amusement Only & Best Kept Secret. The D&O boys wrote music with dreams of playing Livid Festival, Big Day Out, X Games & Van's Warped Australia. All of which are long gone. With that air of nostalgia, Down & Out want to continue on that early 2000s pop/punk sound, which they never grew out of. Having formed in January 2017, the band have hit the ground sprinting, releasing their debut single Horizon which featured Nick Thompson, lead singer from Ohio pop-punk staple Hit The Lights who've frequented the US Alternative charts and sold over 120,000 albums in America alone.
