Dr Choppenstein is a rapper and producer from Maroubra in Sydney's south-east. He has been writing raps and making beats since 2012. Choppenstein has been involved in and produced a number of projects over the years with other local artists and friends Jebadosef, Herbal Horus, Je Sa and Pollen Mentor. Much of Choppenstein's beat-making influence stems from hip hop throughout the 1990s - and particularly the late 90s and very early 2000s. This is reflected in the beats he makes, using plenty of crisp snares and heavy kicks - many of which are Dr Dre or Jay-Z drum samples. As a rapper, Choppenstein draws his influence from a wide array of rappers from all over the Anglo-sphere, including Eminem, Eso, Sparkz, J Cole, Joey Bada$$, Snoop Dogg, Truthos Mufasa and many others.
