cris weisberg originally of brisbane band ‘cheating debt’ moved to sydney in 1998. after a few false starts with a couple of sydney ‘funk’ outfits he teamed up with geoff howe from ‘gentle reminder’, a band originally hailing from wollongong. jon & marc were the back bone of a sydney rock band called ‘sister feeling’ whose only claim to fame is that they broke up just in time for cris & geoff to snap them up and form drama kings. the band have steadily built up a strong following around sydney with their mix of shimmering guitars, throbbing beats & uplifting melodic rock songs. from the eighties beat that underlines their version of the old ‘sniff’n the tears’ song ‘drivers seat’ to the beatles pastiche ‘let me take you down’, all the way up to the contemporary sounds of ‘the girl of least resistance’, the drama kings welcome all influences. the subject matter of the songs range from the rather tragic figure going through an identity crisis in ‘fallen through the cracks’ to the
