Dream Arcade is a project by Adrian Zuanic from Sydney, Australia that melds boundaries between genres to create a sound that is dancefloor worthy while also being listenable in a chilled out context. Classically trained on the violin from the age of 5, he draws inspiration from those roots and flourishes it with the sonic alchemy of modern electronic synthesis and sampling. The result is a fusion that is novel, familiar and aesthetically evocative that moves from sweeping ambient atmospheres to bouncing funky basslines. Sonic voyages through foggy woodlands, sunlit beds of clouds and the abstract recesses of the mind. Welcome to the dream arcade, where surrealism meets logic and the mind meets the heart. Ingredients include tech, chillout, IDM, psychedelia, funk and glitch.
