Dream Awake is a progressive Folk Rock trio, reinventing the English Folk Rock sound of the 60’s and 70’s. With an emphasis on clever dynamics and male/female vocal harmonies, Dream Awake deliver an exciting live performance. Dream Awake formed in Tasmania, Australia in 2004 and later relocated to the thriving music scene of Melbourne in 2006. During this time they gigged extensively at renowned venues including The Republic Bar (Tas), The Espy (Melb) and The Empress (Melb) and supported well known Australian acts such as Deborah Conway and Nick Barker. Dream Awake were also invited to play at such events as The Cygnet Folk Festival, the MS Fest and Marcia Hines ‘Starry night’ Concert. In early 2007, Dream Awake launched their debut EP ‘The Key Tree’. This was followed up with the release of their acoustic EP ‘Temporary Shore’ in January 2008. Both have received flattering reviews and earned a respectful following for the band. In February 2008 Dream Awake spread their wings,

Our name arises from the idea of not dreaming while you are asleep, but living your dreams in consciousness. We collaborate the heavy style of post-hardcore music, melodic clean vocals, and a mystical element to make our sound unique.
