Driving South were formed in Sydney, 2018 from the remnants of a couple of other bands that faded away. The members started to jam together and after working on some original songs, decided to form Driving South and start playing gigs. Recently with less gigs and time to reflect on a number of songs that they've written and rehearsed, they decided to do some demo recordings and try and capture their live sound. Music ranges from alt country to jazz to new wave to indie rock and pop

Since forming in late 2004, Sydney based band Driving South has already rocked legendary Sydney music venues. Highlights include the The Marquee, Annandale Hotel, Hopetoun Hotel and Hotel Bondi as well as being popular regulars at The Cat & Fiddle and The Vic on the Park. The bands’ two main influences of 70’s Rock, and 90’s Brit Pop collide head on in the studio and explode on stage. The bands song “Thought You’d Like To Know” is featured on Grow Your Own Vol. 10 released nationwide in Oct 2005 through Foghorn Records and distributed by MGM. This year saw the release of the band’s debut self titled EP along with a live performance on 2dayFM.
