Edit history

Du Feu Convulsant is currently Nathan "Pony" Mesiti and Jason Chaplain. The band came about shortly after the demise of Nathans previous band The Pinnipeds/Walruses, He was on the look out to try something new and different but retained the energy of his solo work "Alabama Man" which Jason played a few tracks on. When it came time to pick out people to play for the band, Jason was an obvious first choice. The band itself is heavily influenced by Primus, Faith No More, Mr Bungle and Nuclear Rabbit. Mixing metal-like drums with blusey guitars, funked out bass and some strange Claypool-esque lyrics, DFC is fast becoming something big in the Melbourne alternative scene. Youve Been Warned! At the moment, they're currently in the process of recording demo's for their up-coming extended e.p. You can catch video diaries of the band on their Blog, But if you want to see them, send a message with your email and we'll add you to the preffered list so you can see em. The myspace link is below
