Formed in the summer of ‘09 in the western suburbs of Melbourne, Dukes Veda have crafted there Psychedelic blues rock sound in front of the people and turned heads on plenty of street corners and music venues around Melbourne. Drawing on influences such as Jimi Hendrix, Magic Sam, Muddy waters, Howlin wolf, Peter green, Billy Thorpe and Samsara Blues Experiment to name just a few. Dukes Veda are touted as a young band exploring an old sound in a new way. Reece Dillon of Torrentthis comments “Simplistic, straight to the point No bullshit, Stoned is the face of the Dukes Veda sound and one that will earn the ear of both young and old gig junkies alike.” The album ‘Tuesday Blues’ will be released in January 2016. In the meantime, fans can sooth themselves with two original tracks recorded at Colour Sound Studios on The Dukes’ self-titled release from 2014.
