Dying Sun was born from a chance reconnection after years of lost contact between Matt D and Damon. from that moment the seed was planted to do something musically together and after initial rehearsals proving very promising Anthony Dwyer, an ex bandmate of Damon's, was asked to play drums. songs started to flow very easily so it wasn't long before demo's were recorded at Matt D's home studio and a recording proper was obviously the step dying sun next needed to take. With twelve tunes written and rehearsed and ready for recording the process started on july 17 in Matt D's home studio and Nathan Bailey was enlisted to mix the album and Alan Douches, of west west side music fame, mastered what would become the album doomsdaycometh. Scott Edgar provided some lead guitar for the album as well. Now with the album digitally released via bandcamp, DoomsdayCometh represents a great blend of metal/doom and hard rock while lyrically exploring the darker and frailer side of human nature. The
