Dypsomania formed when Craig returned from 5 years of travel with songs that were begging for Matty's melodic riffs. In their developmental stages they received funding from Centrelink to support their alcohol and artistic endeavours. Phil Whelan joined the band after drinking far too much at a Dypsomania gig and volunteered his services, and also saying he would play drums. Adam Anderson of Jimmy Nichols fame joined after a stint in rehab, replacing Luke O'Dwyer who resides in New Zealand, making rehearsals rather difficult. All members suffer from Dypsomania, and are currently resisting treatment.
