E.S MALAIKA is the alt-pop artist project of Sewa Emojong, who uses music as a way to understands the world, and invite people into the inner workings of her mind. Embracing her classical music roots, E.S MALAIKA draws lyrical and melodic inspiration from choral music and an eclectic range of Australian and International artists. She loves beats, and has been working with Adam Xycore - Hungary based producer and artist - to develop a sound that is distinctly E.S MALAIKA. Growing up in a multi-generational, multicultural family in the arts-rich town of Armidale provided a feast of musical experiences to influence the creation of E.S MALAIKA. From African parties full of music, food and dancing, to opportunities to sing in music ensembles, E.S MALAIKA is the product of the immersive power of music, and how songwriting can be an effective vehicle to transport the listener to an alternate paradigm.
