Earnest Irony is a knowingly genre naive studio band formed by Evan Kitchener, with his brother Justin, in 2004. With one acoustic guitar, one snare drum and one microphone they recorded a handful of raw improvised tracks. The very next year they set up a recording studio in the "old house", and began filling it with all manner of noise making objects, and all manner of noise. The Old House Studio was born. There has been a summer recording session there ever since, and so far 5 albums have been recorded.
