Kuepper is globally renowned as a restless, prodigious musical spirit, founder of The Saints in the 70s, leader of jazz infused post punk ensemble Laughing Clowns in the early 80s, and creator of a singular body of work under his own name in the intervening decades. (And for the sake of brevity lets just make brief mention of his time in The Bad Seeds, scoring films, executing the occasional skirmish with his power outfits The Aints and The Aints!, his work with the Jazz improvisers Asteroid Ekosystem, and touring recently as a duo with Jim White.)
