Eddie Henderson is an iconic jazz trumpeter who balanced careers in medicine and music before Herbie Hancock, Art Blakey, Pharoah Sanders and others tipped the scales for music. He plays with a hauntingly beautiful sound and is a master melodicist. His five-decade-plus career includes classic fusion recordings from the 1970s, as well as many electrifying acoustic dates in more recent decades.
