Eliot Argus is an Australian Indie Musician who is also the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for “Cardboard Cutouts”. His musical influences include “Wil Wagner”, “Sticky Fingers”, “Elvis Costello”, “The Cat Empire”, “Flume” and many more. Eliot blends many styles to create a unique melting pot of raw acoustic songs and electronic lo-fi beats. Eliot’s debut single, “Drifting (Away)”, was a turning point for Eliot’s musical direction. Combining swirling synthesiser’s, electronic drum patches and heavily processed vocals. Eliot transformed his usual “Indie-Rock” genre into something at the opposite of the spectrum. Since this release, Eliot has gone onto releasing his debut E.P, “The Way Things Work”. A collection of raw and acoustic songs, that also features an acoustic rendition of “Drifting Away”. Eliot has his eyes set on recording and releasing more material later on in 2020 under Lackadaisical Records.
