My name is Ellen Porter and I am an emerging artist at seventeen years of age from Geelong. I sing, play guitar and piano, as well as cello. I began singing as a young child, singing for elderly people at nursing homes and continued to grow into performing in small concerts and school music evenings. I began piano at 3 and cello at 5, and I learnt those classically from my mother before I realised I wanted to take on a modern approach. I picked up guitar at 15. I wrote my first original song at 11 and have written a repertoire of over 20 songs since then, all within a pop, rock and contemporary style. I also began dancing at 3 and still continue to do so. Recently, I have travelled to Los Angeles, USA to compete for Australia at the World Championships of Performing Arts singing both covers and originals. I brought back 1 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze medallions as well as the title of ‘Champion of the World for Vocal Contemporary Ages 16-24’. Since then, I have continued to write
