Born and raised in Provence, Elodie Sablier exuded passion for romanticism and classical piano at a very young age, inspired by her grandfather. Her French upbringing included significant exposure to classical and contemporary paintings, sculpture, music and books which formed her inner sensitivity. Elodie pursued music composition and performance with distinction in the Conservatoires of Lyon and Paris, and then jazz courses at the Conservatoire of Valence. She held frequent piano solo recitals in Europe, while also composing for silent movies and cartoons, including live representation in cinema festivals. Moving to Australia in 2008, Elodie continued to hone skills in composition and performance, while discovering new inspiration for her music in the Australian landscape and among Australians.
