Kenyan born Elsy Wameyo has emerged as a force to be reckoned with in recent years, a chameleonic artist pouring life’s lessons and experiences into dynamic pieces of art. 2022 saw the release of her long-awaited debut EP, Nilotic, a self-produced six-track fusion of soul-infused hip-hop and alt-R&B that took home six awards at the South Australia Music Awards. 2024 has brought her to a new creative touchstone, a place of reclamation and self-empowerment - Elsy Wameyo’s debut studio album, Saint Sinner. Stories of aggressive fearlessness and profound boldness are heard on her latest singles 'Umva' & 'Conquer'. As she stands at the precipice of her most important creative chapter yet, Elsy Wameyo is at peace knowing that with this album is the delivery of Elsy in her truest form. With this sense of peace comes added fulfilment – for both the current Elsy, and the little Elsy, who continuously guides within.
